So I realize I have not been on here writing about the wonderful books I
have been reading! Well I have to say that that is about to change! I have two
excuses for my long absence
1) I went to Vancouver, Canada to
bring my bestie back home from school! (Shout out to my friend Riley for
graduating from Vancouver Film School!!! So proud!)
2) I have been reading nonstop since I have gotten back!
Not brag, but I have read 12 books in the last month, which yeah that’s
probably really pathetic but what can I say I love reading!
So this post is going to be about the Between the Lines series which was
written by Tammara Webber! Now most of you may wonder what is this series and
who is this author? I will tell you. Recently I have had an addiction what I
guess you would call Indie Young Adult books and lucky for me Amazon has a
surplus of these books that are very very cost effective! Alas I am a victim
(so to speak) of eBooks and have fallen for their convenient and less costly appeal.
However, I have no regrets because without the eBook option I probably would
have never come across many of these amazing authors!!!
So Between the Lines is a trilogy following the life of actor Reid
Alexander. He’s 18, famous, and is heavenly to look at it! While filming a
modern adaptation of Pride and Prejudice he meets fellow cast member Emma. They
have chemistry and that’s a good thing because they have to play Darcy and Lizzie
from the book. It’s a typical romance!! Or is it? Throw in Reid's ex girlfriend,
Brooke, who shares a deep secret with Reid that could cost him a relationship
with Emma. If that isn’t enough throw in another fellow cast member by the name
of Graham, who is gorgeous beyond belief, but has a secret of his own. Book one
and two follow these four characters entanglements, plots, secrets, and their
fame as they film, wrap and premier the movie.
Book three is hard to explain without giving away too much of the other
books, but a new character is brought in to the mix, her name is Dori. She is
everything Reid is not. She’s a humanitarian and a church attendee and all around good person. Reid finds
himself in her presence by stupidly driving drunk, crashing into someone’s
home, and finds himself working on a Habitat for Humanity home that Dori just
so happens to be working on too. Like I said exact opposites, but like everyone
always says opposites attract, but when Dori’s sister has an accident, Dori
loses her faith and does everything in her power to run from it all. Can Reid help Dori find her faith? Can Dori save Reid from
himself? What happened to Brooke, Graham, and Emma???
Well you will just have to read to find out. ;)
